About The Position

MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Concrete Superintendent for its Arizona Division in the Phoenix metro area. The company is a 100% employee-owned corporation specializing in water and wastewater general contracting across Arizona, Texas, Utah, and New Mexico. The Superintendent will oversee concrete work on water and wastewater projects, including the construction of water-bearing structures, and coordinate crews, project logistics, safety, costs, materials, and equipment. This is a full-time salaried position. Occasional long hours and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.

Requirements

At least five years of experience constructing concrete structures and water-bearing structures on water and wastewater projects.
Ability to navigate a computer and respond to email in a timely manner.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Review and comprehend blueprint drawings and specifications.
Lay out large and small concrete structures and apply knowledge of building water-bearing structures.
Coordinate and assist with scheduling project site logistics and manpower.
Effectively manage crews of 3–20 people.
Develop and train future Foremen and Superintendents.
Coordinate with the team on the pay request process.
Monitor project costs and job cost reports.
Manage job cost reporting with the project team.
Help implement and monitor safety for on-site personnel and subcontractors, including required paperwork and filing in job folders.
Review, approve, and help order needed materials and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
