About The Position

The Concrete Superintendent will be responsible for managing all aspects of concrete structures, including foundations, elevated formwork cycles, cranes, layout and controls, and concrete placing, consolidating, and finishing best practices. This role involves creating and managing the concrete frame schedule, holding work crews accountable, supervising and developing labor personnel, and ensuring work is installed in compliance with contract documents. The Superintendent will also act as the quality control for concrete operations.

Requirements

Must be able to manage employees and have strong leadership skills
Must have thorough knowledge of OSHA's requirements for construction safety and have attended an OSHA 10 hour certification in the last five years
Must be able to read and decipher construction documents
Must be able to identify quality workmanship as it relates to building codes, industry standards, and contract documents
Must be able to produce, maintain, and direct the project schedule
Understand & implement basic concrete principles such as concrete mix designs, admixtures, curing, cold and hot weather procedures for concrete placing and finishing, formwork systems
Ability to work with people from different trades, backgrounds, cultures, etc.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications

Responsibilities
