About The Position

S&W Ready Mix Concrete, a subsidiary of Titan America LLC, is seeking a Plant Supervisor for its Holly Ridge, NC location. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ready mix concrete plant operations, including safety, production, maintenance, and quality control. The supervisor ensures compliance with all company standards, policies, and regulations for safe and environmentally sound production of quality concrete products. Requirements

Thorough knowledge of the automated batch plant operation.
Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in supervising the hourly workforce, including directing, training, counseling, and disciplining.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products.
Ability to climb conveyor belts for maintenance.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in Ready Mix Concrete for at least 5 years required.

Nice To Haves

ACI Level I Field Testing Technician certification (must obtain within one year of hire if not already held).
North Carolina DOT Batch Certification (must obtain within one year of hire if not already held).
Prior experience in concrete plant management preferred.

Responsibilities

Directing and managing all ready mix concrete plant operations.
Ensuring compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations for safe, environmentally-sound production of quality concrete products.
Overseeing plant employees and drivers in production and delivery.
Ensuring all products meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and service.
Maintaining adequate inventories to meet customer needs.
Scheduling material deliveries according to customer needs and ensuring prompt, safe, and efficient deliveries.
Maintaining a safe workplace in accordance with company policies and OSHA guidelines.
Adhering to and ensuring direct reports adhere to Company, State, and Local rules and regulations, including environmental and safety rules.
Operating the ready mix batch plant using an automated computerized batching system.
Inspecting plant facilities, equipment, and ready mix units to ensure maintenance, housekeeping, truck cleaning, and safety standards are met.
Troubleshooting and resolving plant maintenance problems to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
Preparing and ensuring accuracy of daily business paperwork.
Handling cash sales from customers in accordance with established practices and policy.
Ensuring employees work efficiently and consistently with company policies and guidelines.
Maintaining good working relationships with co-workers and outside agencies.
Controlling and minimizing plant costs while providing a consistent quality product.
Managing corporately approved disciplinary procedures for drivers and operators assigned to the plant.
Performing all other duties as assigned.
