About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for the sizing, adjustment, and maintenance of concrete pavers to ensure optimal performance and the successful installation of high-quality pavement. Your expertise in handling various paving equipment will contribute to the successful completion of projects while maintaining safety, efficiency, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Technical skills in concrete paving and compaction operations.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work as a team to efficiently complete jobs to the highest customer satisfaction.
• Set up and adjust concrete pavers (widths, depths, screed calibration) for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and maintain paving equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Work closely with paving crews to ensure smooth and efficient paving operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to maximize equipment uptime.
• Ensure proper calibration for ride quality and smoothness in paving operations.
• Follow all safety protocols and industry best practices.
• Ability to use arms and hand to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
• Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to see and hear well (naturally or with correction.)
• Ability to travel and work overtime, as requested.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and maintain paving equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Ensure paver widths and depths meet project specifications.
• Work with various paver models including: Guntert Pavers, CMI Pavers, Gomaco Pavers, and DBI Pavers.
• Troubleshoot and perform regular maintenance on paving equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance to ensure high-quality pavement production.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards during paving operations.
