About The Position

Join Port City Concrete, a locally owned and thriving business in South Carolina, as a Concrete Mixer Driver. We are seeking CDL holders to operate our concrete mixer trucks and deliver ready-mix concrete to job sites across the Charleston and Greater Charleston area. Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL – Class B minimum).
At least 2 years CDL driving experience.
Ability to read and understand delivery tickets and follow verbal instructions.
Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment and various weather conditions.
Strong focus on safety and teamwork.
Must be punctual, dependable, and have a positive attitude.
Concrete Mixer Truck: 1 year (Required)
CDL (Required)

Nice To Haves

Prior experience operating either a front load or rear load mixer truck or similar heavy equipment preferred.
Front Discharge: 1 year (Preferred)
Rear Discharge: 1 year (Preferred)
ACI Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites.
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, batch plant staff, and job site personnel to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Maintain proper handling and slump of concrete during transit and unloading.
Keep accurate delivery records and daily driver logs.
Keep concrete mixer trucks in top shape, including cleaning and chipping as needed, and ensuring all fluids and tire pressure are at their prime.
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures.
