We are currently seeking full-time Concrete Laborers to travel and perform concrete repair and maintenance operations in the Austin, Texas area. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to highway concrete repair/maintenance, adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. The position requires working a rotating day or night shift schedule and being available to work during various weather events.

Requirements

Concrete forming, finishing, and repair experience required.
Minimum 3 years of related experience.
Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools.
High School Diploma/GED.
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing).
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
Ability to use smart phone and applications.
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule.
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to operate hand/power tools.
Clean driving record is essential.
Must pass criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

Roadway maintenance experience.

MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses).
Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform concrete repair and maintenance operations.

Operate equipment such as Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, and Asphalt Roller.
Perform roadway maintenance.
Operate air compressors.
Install guardrails and signs.
Perform traffic control duties.
Carry out simple arithmetic functions.
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job.
Adapt to the latest technology.
Use smart phone and applications.
Adjust to changing work schedules.
Work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Operate hand and power tools.
