Requirements
- A Concrete Formsetter is knowledgeable and familiar with procedures required for all types of concrete related forming systems including but not limited to: footers, walls, decks, stairs and elevator cores.
- Formsetters should be familiar with required forming of types of concrete flatwork including slab, stairs, sidewalks, drives, curb, gutter and concrete paving applications.
- Formsetters are required to complete work safely, with quality and within productivity specifications as directed by the foreman or superintendent.
- 3-5 years of concrete or construction experience.
- Attention to detail with demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness.
Responsibilities
- Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and check to ensure they are properly constructed. (30%)
- Moves discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms. (20%)
- Cut timber, lumber and/or paneling to specified dimensions, and drill holes in timbers and lumber. (15%)
- Perform tie spacing layout and measure, mark, drill or cut. (15%)
- Participates in daily huddles and practices safety as a priority on all job sites. (10%)
