About The Position

This position requires a skilled Concrete Foreman with a strong understanding of carpentry and concrete work. The role involves supervisory responsibilities and requires the ability to work in various conditions, including below ground. A solid grasp of mathematical calculations, blueprint interpretation, and safety regulations is essential.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in climbing, bending, standing, sitting, walking, lifting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and crawling.
  • Good hand/eye balance for tool usage.
  • Vision with good depth perception for judging distances and space relationships.
  • Ability to work in all kinds of weather.
  • Willingness to work below ground and knowledge of related safety requirements.
  • Minimum math ability to calculate surface areas and translate into bills of material.
  • Ability to use variables and formulas from trade handbooks.
  • Proficiency in English, including speaking, writing simple reports with correct format, spelling, and grammar.
  • Ability to read safety requirements, tool usage instructions, and civil drawings/layout prints.
  • Accurately interpret and apply information from work orders, job orders, specifications, blueprints or drawings.
  • Identify, recognize, and demonstrate safe usage of power tools (e.g., table saw, radial arm saw, circular saw).
  • At least 4-5 years as a journeyman Form Carpenter or related Carpentry field.
  • At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of all related OSHA regulations.
  • Minimum of 2-year experience working in an industrial environment.

  • Experience in the Cement Finisher field.
  • Experience in the Rodbuster field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise concrete work and carpentry tasks.
  • Interpret and apply information from work orders, job orders, specifications, blueprints, or drawings.
  • Perform material take-offs.
  • Identify, recognize, and demonstrate safe usage of power tools.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, customer, and company regulations, especially for below-ground work.
  • Calculate surface areas and translate figures into bills of material.
  • Use variables and formulas from industry-approved trade handbooks.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Read and understand safety requirements, tool usage instructions, and civil drawings/layout prints.
