Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge of leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of organizational operating practices or procedures.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction projects.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Ability to motivate, develop, train, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
  • Ability to manage own time and the time of others.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Ability to work without close supervision and be able to adapt to a wide variety of conditions.
  • Takes pride in craftsmanship.
  • Possesses a valid Driver’s License.
  • Three (3) or more years’ supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ construction experience.
  • Possesses a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, direct, and manage activities of workers concerned with assigned construction phases pertaining to curb and gutter, handicap ramps, scuppers, catch basins, roadways, and all other concrete related construction projects.
  • Plan and coordinate concrete construction activities, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
  • Review plans, specifications, estimates, and contract documents to ensure work is properly planned and executed.
  • Lead, assign, train, and motivate crews while addressing production and personnel issues.
  • Oversee concrete forming, reinforcing, placement, finishing, curing, and repair operations.
  • Ensure work meets project specifications, quality standards, schedules, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, surveyors, testing agencies, and other project resources.
  • Perform quantity take-offs, verify quantities, and assist with estimates, change orders, and cost control.
  • Coordinate utility locates, surveying, testing, material procurement, and required project approvals.
  • Develop short-term schedules and monitor labor, equipment, and material needs.
  • Maintain project documentation, daily logs, production records, and quantity reports.
  • Inspect equipment, materials, and work in progress to identify and resolve issues.
  • Communicate project progress, needs, and concerns with Superintendents and Project Managers.
  • Enforce company and project safety policies and maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
