About The Position

The Concrete Finishing Lead supervises Specialty Finishers and Concrete Finishers who apply dry finish to concrete members. The role ensures that each member receives the correct dry finish and is green tagged before storage. Employees must follow all safety and quality rules and processes to support a safe work environment and produce high-quality products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Review shop cards with the Manager.
• Verify the required dry finish for each bed form.
• Assign one or more Concrete Finishers – Class B to each concrete product.
• Instruct Concrete Finishers on the required dry finish for each product and any special requirements.
• Saw off strand ends, sack concrete members, rock panel edges, and perform other related tasks as needed.
• Perform dry finishing as required to meet production schedules.
• Apply rework to concrete products as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Supervisor.
• Follow safety and quality rules and processes.
