About The Position

Brayman Precast is seeking a Full time Concrete Finisher for our location in Saxonburg, PA. If you have a positive attitude and want to work in a fast-paced environment, we would like you to apply TODAY! While we would like the ideal candidate to have experience specific to placing and finishing concrete, we are also willing to train the right candidate in the skills they need to be successful in this position. As a Concrete Finisher, you will work on various industrial, commercial, institutional and related projects that supply the construction field. This position is part of our finishing crew which performs all phases of concrete production, placement and finishing.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Thorough understanding of the characteristics of concrete.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to create, lay and use concrete forms.
Understanding of and ability to use tools related to concrete.
Ability to work well with others.
Excellent verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Successful completion of formal apprenticeship or directly related experience, preferred.
Experience with batching, placing, finishing concrete, and operating overhead crane preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs daily preparation and maintenance of equipment and hand tools.
Operates overhead cranes and pneumatic equipment to transport and place fresh concrete.
Uses electric vibrators to consolidate concrete.
Uses a variety of tools, such as straight-edges, floats, rakes, shovels, trowels, and brooms to apply required finishes to fresh concrete.
