We are seeking highly skilled Field Technicians (Ironworkers) with specialized post-tensioning experience to support WYDOT bridge projects. This role goes beyond general labor and requires proven, hands-on expertise in post-tensioning operations, including active participation in tensioning processes. This is a project-based, contract position and does not constitute full-time employment. Requirements

  • Proven experience on a minimum of three (3) post-tensioning projects
  • Direct, hands-on involvement in tensioning operations (not just general site support)
  • OSHA 10 certification (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform skilled ironwork associated with post-tensioning systems

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with: PT bar installation
  • Bar stressing procedures
  • Grouting operations
  • PTI Bonded certification/training
  • ASBI certification
  • Experience working on bridge or DOT infrastructure projects

Responsibilities

  • Execute post-tensioning operations on bridge construction projects
  • Perform and support PT bar installation, stressing, and grouting
  • Actively participate in tensioning activities, ensuring precision and adherence to engineering specifications
  • Coordinate with field supervision and engineering teams to ensure proper sequencing and execution
  • Maintain strict compliance with all safety standards and jobsite protocols
  • Assist with quality control and documentation related to post-tensioning work
