About The Position

C&S Contracting Co., a division of CMES The Concrete Carpenter / Finisher supports heavy civil construction projects by performing concrete work, forming, and general job site duties. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and project requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in concrete finishing or carpentry
• Heavy civil or construction experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Team-oriented with good communication skills
• Familiarity with construction tools, materials, and processes
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
• Exposure to noise, dust, and construction equipment

Nice To Haves

• OSHA or trade certifications a plus

Responsibilities

• Set, align, and remove concrete forms
• Place and tie rebar for concrete pours
• Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete (screed, float, trowel)
• Form joints and edges using appropriate tools
• Operate tools and equipment such as vibrators and power trowels
• Assist with directing concrete placement during pours
• Monitor weather impact on curing and finishing
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Accurately complete daily timecards and report work performed
• Follow all OSHA and company safety standards at all times
• Communicate effectively with Foreman and team regarding job progress or issues
