About The Position

At Haselden Construction, we are committed to building great projects and developing great people. We are looking for a Concrete Carpenter to support self-perform concrete work, build and install formwork, assist with concrete placement, and help deliver safe, high-quality work on our projects.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Concrete Carpenter or similar concrete construction role.
  • Experience with concrete form systems required; experience with multiple form systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, lift drawings, and plan revisions.
  • Knowledge of concrete formwork, layout, embeds, anchor bolts, rebar coordination, placement, and basic finishing.
  • Able to work well in a team environment, take direction, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented.
  • Must provide personal safety footwear and basic hand tools per collective agreement requirements.
  • Reliable transportation to assigned job sites.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test (required).

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10-hour certification preferred.
  • Equipment, fall protection, rigging/signal, scaffold, silica, or confined space training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, lift drawings, sketches, and building plans.
  • Build, erect, brace, and strip concrete formwork using wood, metal, and other form systems.
  • Install concrete-related items including embeds, anchor bolts, bulkheads, block outs, openings, rebar, wire mesh, vapor barrier, and other materials.
  • Place, finish, and vibrate concrete as required.
  • Use basic layout tools, including tape measure, builder level, laser level, plumb bob, and carpenter levels.
  • Select appropriate materials and tools for each task and verify work is plumb, level, square, and built to plan.
  • Erect and maintain ladders, scaffolding, framework, safety rails, and access points as assigned.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of tripping hazards throughout the shift.
  • Identify hazards, contribute to the Plan of the Day/JHA/PRA, and participate in Toolbox Talks.
  • Inspect tools, rigging, fall protection, and equipment before use; report safety concerns, incidents, or near misses immediately.
  • Communicate material, tool, or equipment needs to the Foreman or Superintendent.
  • Support apprentices, laborers, and team members by sharing knowledge and helping develop concrete carpentry skills.
