Situated on oceanfront Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaire's Row, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is one of the most historically and architecturally significant hotels on Miami Beach. Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.
Requirements
- Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
- Minimum of two years concierge operations experience.
- High school education or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hotel experience preferred.
- Bilingual highly desirable.
- College degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answering questions, giving direction and making detailed reservations or recommendations.
- Engaging in casual conversation and indulging special requests.
- Ensuring guest requests are handled in a timely manner.
- Being fully knowledgeable of hotel facilities.
- Being proactive; taking initiative to update files and create new ones.
- Advising guests of points of interest in the surrounding area, quickly and efficiently orienting guests, and providing directions and in-depth recommendations.
- Confirming bookings for theater, tours.
- Developing an extensive local network in order to better and faster serve the Fontainebleau guests.
- Being a team player: good communications with teammates is imperative.
- Being willing to adapt to changes in job requirements.
- Being comfortable in a demanding and high-end environment and being able to work under pressure.
- Working with integrity; respecting all team members.
- Being willing to continuously increase knowledge and update information.
- Being pleasant and courteous at all times.
