Requirements

  • Kindness and a desire to work with the elderly; enjoy working with people in general.
  • Resourceful and strong problem-solver.
  • Ability to work well with people in emotional or stressful situations.
  • Organizational and follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous experience answering telephones and/or in a customer service role.
  • Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
  • Good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Provides exemplary customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Greets visitors, addresses questions or concerns of prospective or current elders and families, and provides support to sales and marketing and the business office.
  • Manages the lobby experience for all visitors, paying attention to details and using creativity to create positive experiences with current and prospective elders.
  • Answers incoming calls and takes messages.
  • Greets elders, families, visitors, and team members, in person and on the phone, answering questions and creating a friendly, positive environment for all.
  • Assists other leadership team members with Life Enrichment, Marketing, and accounting tasks (Events, directing calls for marketing, receiving invoices, sorting mail, etc.).
  • Monitors the entry area for visitors and guests, ensuring a neat, clean, inviting entry.
  • Receives and sends packages for elders, assisting them with questions and concerns as requested.
  • Represents the community by role-modeling core values of goodness, loyalty, faith, and fun.
