About The Position

BallenIsles Country Club is seeking a driven Concierge/Receptionist to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring a culture of hospitality and teamwork, assisting members and guests, and serving as an information source. The position also provides technical support to the F&B Department as needed. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in a similar service environment and a dedication to quality, productivity, and attentive service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
  • Ability to use the internet.
  • Computer and technical skills required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Greets members by name with a smile and warm welcome, and extends a gracious goodbye and thank you as members/guests are leaving the Club.
  • Answers telephone calls from members and guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Directs member calls to the appropriate individual/department following telephone etiquette protocol.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of the Club’s activities calendar and communicates concise and accurate information to members.
  • Serves as an information liaison between members/guests and Club departments.
  • Makes member reservations for dining and club activities by entering accurate information in JONAS (JAM) or current member database, while anticipating members' needs/wants.
  • Creates Member and Guest Cards in accordance with current policies.
  • Takes ownership of special requests and immediate needs of members and organizes communication of these to appropriate departments, following up with members as needed.
  • Maintains a high level of service.
  • Communicates with additional concierge staff, relaying necessary information regarding daily operations of the club and ensuring they understand how to properly communicate this information to members.
  • Accepts member complaints and works with the F&B Director to provide solutions to achieve member satisfaction in a professional and timely manner.
  • Works closely with other Club departments, directors, and managers to ensure that member and guest expectations are exceeded.
  • Inspects and oversees the cleanliness and maintenance of all department areas, coordinating with Housekeeping and Engineering.
  • Promotes a positive team atmosphere with all management and staff.
  • Creation of Digital signage and Directional signage as needed.
  • Carries out bylaws and policies as set by the Board of Directors.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by F&B Director.
  • Has knowledge of Support contacts for database and reservation systems.
