About The Position

The Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming first impression by greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience from arrival to departure. This role coordinates guest flow, maintains an organized dining room, and collaborates with the Food & Beverage team to deliver outstanding service while upholding Marriott's hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a friendly, professional demeanor and determine seating needs based on party size and dining availability.
Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and ensure place settings are complete and meet restaurant standards.
Manage seating assignments efficiently to maximize guest satisfaction and restaurant flow.
Monitor the dining room for seating availability, cleanliness, guest comfort, and overall service quality.
Maintain clean, organized host stations, menus, waiting areas, and dining room entrances throughout each shift.
Communicate effectively with restaurant servers, culinary staff, and management to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Answer telephone calls using proper etiquette, assist with reservations, and respond professionally to guest inquiries.
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to questions, requests, and service recovery opportunities.
Assist with arranging tables and seating accommodations for large parties and guests with special needs.
Follow all company safety, sanitation, and security policies while maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
Support restaurant operations by assisting team members as needed to ensure exceptional service and operational efficiency.
Foster a welcoming atmosphere by thanking guests for their visit and inviting them to return.
