About The Position

The Concessions Assistant helps foster a communal atmosphere at camp by providing snacks, meals, and desserts for campers and guests at Hume’s coffee, apparel, and snack shops. The role provides general assistance in preparing and serving quality products and delivering customer service with a joyful, servant-hearted demeanor.

The assistant may cashier, clean, and prepare quick-serve meals, snacks, coffee, and other products. They work at assigned locations and remain flexible to serve where needed, follow safety procedures and supervisors’ directions, contribute positively to a Christ-centered team, and represent Hume Christian Camps’ values and mission through their conduct, attitude, and service.

Requirements

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with the organization’s Statement of Faith.
• Agree to and abide by the organization’s Statement of Faith, Code of Conduct, and lifestyle/community standards.
• Be at least 18 years old at the start of employment to live in staff housing, or be a high school graduate who is a dependent resident of Hume in staff housing.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision.
• Ability to stand and walk, frequently lift 50 pounds, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to live and work in extreme weather conditions, at high altitude, and in small living quarters.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service, food service, or as a barista.
