Concession Stand Runner at The Oncenter
About The Position
As a Concession Stand Runner at The Oncenter, you will be responsible for delivering products to all concession stands in a timely manner. This role involves transferring product to concession stands/carts while complying with inventory procedures, setting up product in stands, rotating stock and inventory, and preparing for future events. You will also help receive, unload, and store deliveries, and stock, clean, and organize the Commissary, Stands, and Surge areas. The position requires assisting in pre-event setup and post-event breakdown, maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area following sanitation standards, and maintaining a professional appearance and relationship with coworkers. Providing total guest satisfaction through skilled and capable service in accordance with New York State laws and regulations as well as Company policies, practices, and procedures is also a key aspect of the role. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work and maintain standards in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and attitude are essential.
- Ability to make professional, independent, and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
- Must be able to be on time for your shift and maintain reliable attendance.
- Must take direction well and work well individually and as a team.
- Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to walk/stand/sit for long periods of time.
- Must have the physical ability to maneuver around the venue, at times walking and/or standing for 8-10 hours or greater, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+, and frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting.
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility to move quickly to the different areas of the facility as demands require.
- Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- 6+ months experience in a Food & Beverage or warehouse environment preferred.
- ServeSafe & TIPS certification a plus.
