About The Position

We are partnering with one of the world's largest streaming companies to evaluate agency partners for ongoing artwork projects in Japan. We are compiling a showcase of conceptual art to present to them. The success of this showcase will determine a longer-term regional partnership between Wordbank and the artist. We are seeking conceptual artists willing to share their work for inclusion in this showcase. If selected, the artist will become part of a dedicated conceptual art team working on ongoing projects, with potential for expanded partnerships including Regional Art Director roles.

Requirements

• Must be based in Japan.
• Specialization in conceptual artwork design.
• Native Japanese speaker with a high level of English proficiency.
• 5+ years of experience in graphic design.
• Agreement to allow Wordbank to include your work in a deck shared directly with the client.
• Strong conceptual artwork skills (primary focus).
• Ability to perform high-level craft and execution.
• Deep understanding of cultural nuances and design preferences in Japan.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with local/regional case studies.
• Experience with romance or romantic comedy genre work.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong key visuals.
• Carry concepts through to completion.
• Create artwork for ongoing projects if selected.
• Potentially take on Regional Art Director roles if partnerships expand.
