CA$72,500 - CA$96,000Hybrid

About The Position

As a Senior Electrical Designer and member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating electrical systems and electromechanical door products for OEM and R&D projects. In collaboration with systems engineers and other engineering disciplines, you will implement product and test systems. The Senior Electrical Designer will serve as the technical lead for electrical design activities and will work in a matrix structure with project teams composed of mechanical, software, and electrical engineers and designers. He or she will be responsible for producing, reviewing, and maintaining technical documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical specifications, design analyses, requirements matrices, and other engineering documents necessary for product development. The incumbent will actively participate in the planning and execution of development activities, including defining deliverables, monitoring schedules, and supporting validation and integration testing. He or she will collaborate directly with customers, product groups, and application teams to understand their needs, provide technical support, and develop engineering solutions tailored to their fleets currently in service. Finally, the Senior Electrical Designer will play a key role in resolving complex technical issues related to existing products, in the continuous improvement of designs, and in mentoring less experienced designers and engineers to foster the development of best practices within the organization.
