About The Position

This role provides an opportunity to utilize COMSEC technical skills in support of the F-35 air system cryptographic and key management architecture. The COMSEC Engineer will offer guidance on equipment design and necessary support, and recommend tasks to government security leads. Responsibilities include supporting certification and accreditation activities for operation systems, ensuring compliance with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), and assisting with obtaining approval for cryptographic changes to F-35 High Assurance Devices (HAD) such as the End Cryptographic Units (ECUs), as well as new developments of F-35 HADs.

Requirements

4+ years of experience developing COMSEC key architectures and in ECU deliverables, processes, and certification.
Experience with cryptographic algorithms.
Knowledge of UIC processes and KMI and EKMS systems.
Ability to coordinate effectively across government, contractor, and external stakeholders.
Ability to prepare briefings, reports, standard operating procedures, and official correspondence.
Ability to lead a team in fast-paced classified environments.
TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelor's degree.

Nice To Haves

Experience with F-35 Joint Program Office and DoD COMSEC policies, directions, instructions, and manuals.
DoD COMSEC Certification.
