About The Position

This role provides guidance on the design of equipment and necessary support, and recommends tasks to government security leads. The COMSEC Engineer will support certification and accreditation activities for operation systems, including compliance with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF). This position will assist with obtaining approval of cryptographic changes to F-35 High Assurance Devices (HAD) such as the End Cryptographic Units (ECUs), as well as new developments of F-35 HADs.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience developing COMSEC key architectures and in ECU deliverables, processes, and certification
  • Experience with cryptographic algorithms
  • Knowledge of UIC processes and KMI and EKMS systems
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across government, contractor, and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prepare briefings, reports, standard operating procedures, and official correspondence
  • Ability to lead a team in fast-paced classified environments
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with F-35 Joint Program Office and DoD COMSEC policies, directions, instructions, and manuals
  • DoD COMSEC Certification
