About The Position

The Computer Technician II has the responsibility of installing, testing, maintaining, and supporting all personal computer hardware, software, peripherals, and systems, including patch management, asset inventory, security, and monitoring, and backup support of phone systems. In addition, the Computer Technician II is a key support individual for members of Senior Management and Board of Directors.

  • Facilitating all network, PC, and peripherals product procurement/repair
  • Managing the relationships with the vendors of choice
  • Assisting with WPCU telephony systems
  • Day-to-day maintenance and support of telephony systems
  • Ensuring proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed
  • Reporting gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership

Responsibilities

  • Providing PC and Laptop hardware and software technical support, to all WPCU users at all sites, 2nd -tier support for LAN/WAN connectivity and other communications issues and executing activities on approved projects.
  • Performing system patch management and administration for asset monitoring, security, and inventory related tools and processes.
  • Serving as project leader or coordinator for IT related projects as assigned.
  • Facilitating all network, PC, and peripherals product procurement/repair and managing the relationships with the vendors of choice.
  • Assisting Telecom & Audio-Visual Technician II with WPCU telephony systems needed, including day-to-day maintenance and support. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated.
