About The Position

KBR is seeking a Computer Systems Administrator to support HQ Space Training and Readiness Command located at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida. A strong candidate will have background provisioning computer accounts, troubleshooting connectivity or configuration issues, and interacting with General/Flag officers and their staffs. In this position, you will provide technical support for communications equipment, peripherals, networks, and software. You will also provide technical guidance in the use of Microsoft Windows, peripheral/shared drive mapping, browser compatibility/configuration, and configure/maintain government-issued cell phones. You will troubleshoot error messages, provide technical solutions, and open trouble tickets. Support will be provided to users at all STARCOM HQ locations and issues will be supported and resolved within PWS-specified timelines. Additionally, you will provide systems accounts for NIPRNet and SIPRNET and systems support, set up or modify user access to the classified internet and e-mail accounts, and troubleshoot connectivity or configuration issues.

Requirements

  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this job, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • Security + Certification.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting DoD networks and working with Comm Focal Points.
  • Knowledge of USAF and US Space Force Information Technology policies and procedures.
  • Self-Starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Accustomed to professionally working with senior leaders.
  • Experience with providing technical guidance to users.
  • Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a secure, confined location (i.e., SCIF).

  • Headquarters, Combatant Command or MAJCOM/Field Command experience.
