About The Position

The MSD of Martinsville is seeking to hire a Computer Science educator. The mission of MSD of Martinsville is to work together, challenge and inspire children through rich experiences, empowering them to achieve success while making positive contributions to our world. This role involves developing and delivering engaging lesson plans, assessing student performance and progress, maintaining effective classroom management and a positive learning environment, collaborating with colleagues, administrators, and parents, and participating in professional development and school events. The position requires the ability to remain emotionally stable, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professional composure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities and responding appropriately to student needs and unexpected situations.

Requirements

Valid teaching license/certificate
Ability to remain emotionally stable, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professional composure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities and responding appropriately to student needs and unexpected situations
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
Ability to move throughout the classroom and school
Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing 20 pounds or more as needed
