About The Position

AnaVation is seeking motivated undergraduate students for its 2027 Summer Internship Program. This ten-week paid internship offers opportunities in software design, coding, debugging, cybersecurity, and data science. The program is remote, with potential for in-person collaboration for those local to Huntsville, AL. Interns will engage in mentoring, learning activities, and project work, gaining exposure to a government contracting small business and IT development. Assignments will encourage customization and creativity, providing a practical business experience. The program includes a Lunch & Learn series with management and technical leaders, as well as professional/career development workshops.

Requirements

Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain a US Government security clearance
Computer Science Major with targeted graduation date of May 2028
Excellent analytical and math skills, with the ability to work in teams
Minimum 3.0 grade point average
Computer literacy; proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated work ethic, goal-oriented, and history of academic success
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinker, leader, team player, and self-managed learner

Nice To Haves

Experience with a group programming project
Experience with Agile Processes especially Scrum
Proficient in Java and Python
Experience with Front End and/or Back End development
Experience with NodeJS
Experience with GIT
Experience with Cloud Systems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Developing software projects as a hobby

Responsibilities

Cyber Security techniques for offensive and defensive missions
Creating custom software applications; including, idea, development, and testing
Developing technology demonstrations leveraging commercial cloud infrastructures (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, etc.)
Assessment of new application ideas
Research competitor offerings
Develop applications (coding, programming) as team and demonstrating a prototype at the end of the internship to company leadership
