This is a highly professional and technical position acting as the database system administrator for the Environmental Health & Safety Division. The incumbent will maintain current and future reporting and database systems, as well as local area hardware and peripheral office equipment for the Environmental Health and Safety Division. The role involves organizing and scanning physical records to create a digital filing system, preparing records for archival storage or disposal, and attaching digital files to the Environmental Health Database. The position operates all components of internal databases and peripheral office equipment used by the Environmental Health Division. The incumbent will serve as the EHD Database System Administrator, communicating with department heads to understand needs and maximize computer system utilization, and acting as a liaison with state and local offices. As EHD Administrator, the role is responsible for the development and production of all Divisional billing for Environmental Health programs and works closely with Environmental Managers to ensure accurate fee collection. The position also performs various clerical duties, answers office phones, prepares programmatic correspondence, and may prepare travel authorizations and reimbursement forms. Additionally, the role assists in developing reports from network databases, produces management reports on billing, facility details, and productivity, and coordinates IT service requests for the Division, acting as a liaison for outside vendors. Performs other duties as assigned.
