As a CNC Technician 2 - NDT, you will work with automated inspection equipment and advanced technologies to verify composite aircraft components meet Gulfstream's high standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of related experience or education required.
  • At least one year of experience working with automated equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, procedures, and specifications.
  • Basic shop math and problem-solving skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • 2 years related experience or education to include one (1) year experience with similar automated equipment.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate automated inspection machines using established programs.
  • Verify machine setup and ensure inspections meet required specifications.
  • Remove, inspect, and replace transducers as needed.
  • Adjust inspection programs to support NDT requirements for flat and contoured composite parts.
  • Identify parts and select the proper inspection settings.
  • Set up programs for different part families.
  • Clean, load, and unload parts from inspection equipment.
  • Troubleshoot 3View and Aragorn inspection systems following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities and minor machine repairs.
  • Complete required paperwork and inspection records accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Ensure equipment is ready for daily operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Operate automated machine using existing programs.
  • Test program and ensure machine is set up in accordance with drawings.
  • Remove and/or replace cutting tools and offsets as required.
  • Inspect condition of tools and replace as needed.
  • Manipulate programs to fit inserts into material, ensuring fit and conformity.
  • Inspect cut material/part prior to CNC operation to ensure conformity and compliance with blueprints, models, and/or engineering documents.
  • Identify material and appropriate cutting tools.
  • Set up material and inspect for serviceability.
  • Monitor material supply.
  • Validate preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machines.
  • Complete paperwork and other documents as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with 5S and Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
