About The Position

Johnson College is currently seeking a part-time Computer Numerical Control instructor to teach in-person classes. This 285-hour non-credit certificate CNC training is designed for individuals looking to enter the high-demand machining field. The instructor will be responsible for covering the theory and hands-on practice of both conventional and computer numerical control machining fields. In addition to math for machinists, there's emphasis on the use of metals, and the stresses placed upon them will be part of the instruction.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of full-time industry expertise and/or work experience
  • Appropriate education/training credentials

  • Teaching experience with adults
  • Teaching demonstration may be required

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and delivering class syllabi and objectives in a clear, concise manner
  • Maintaining an organized and safe lab
  • Ensuring training aids, tools, and equipment are maintained and prepared for use in the classroom and labs
  • Keeping accurate records of student performance and making the timely submission of academic records
  • Providing students with timely feedback
