About The Position
Temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study Student Assistant positions are available in Information Technology (IT). These positions are for undergraduate or post-baccalaureate students who have received and accepted a Financial Aid award for the current semester/year. The role involves monitoring computer lab usage, assisting students with technical questions, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining lab cleanliness and organization, and monitoring supplies.
Requirements
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
- Must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
- Must complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with computer software/ hardware usage.
- Experience with computer software/hardware troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Advanced technical background/proficiency a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Zoom video conferencing.
Responsibilities
- Monitor computer lab usage.
- Assist students with computer-related and/or technical questions.
- Troubleshoot software/hardware issues.
- Keep computer labs clean and organized.
- Monitor paper and toner supply.
- Other duties as assigned.
