About The Position

In accordance with established professional and departmental standards and procedures, the Computed Tomography Technologist performs computerized axial tomography procedures on adult patients under the guidance of a radiologist. The role requires technical knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures, proficiency with the department’s radiology information system, and the ability to obtain high-quality CT images using independent judgment. The technologist also educates patients about the CT procedure.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program with ARRT Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
• Current Certification in Basic Life Support.
• Complete Venipuncture and Contrast Administration Validation within one month of hire.
• Ability to work as a contributing member of a highly functioning, cooperative, and efficient team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Obtain ARRT CT certification within one year from the date of hire.

Nice To Haves

• CT certification is highly preferred.
• Philips experience is preferred.
• 3D Imaging experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform computerized axial tomography procedures on adult patients under the guidance of a radiologist.

• Use all aspects of the department’s radiology information system proficiently.
• Accurately interpret and follow physicians’ scanning instructions and prescriptions.
• Use independent judgment and necessary skills to obtain high-quality CT images.
• Educate patients about the entire process they will undergo for the CT procedure.
