Under the direction of the Radiologist, Director, Supervisors, and Lead Special Procedure Technologist performs diagnostic medical imaging including Cardiac CT and invasive procedures by CT Scan examinations. This role involves performing computed tomography examinations, assessing situations, producing quality images, and documenting procedures. The technologist is responsible for adhering to departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards, including quality control and infection control. They will utilize the hospital/radiology information system, handle bio-hazardous waste appropriately, and practice universal precautions. The position requires providing age-appropriate care and specialized care to high-risk patients, effective communication with medical staff, co-workers, and patients, and participating in continuing education. Additionally, the role involves explaining procedures to customers, presenting oneself professionally, maintaining an environment conducive to good customer relations, respecting customer privacy and confidentiality, improving the waiting experience for customers, responding quickly to requests and complaints, and demonstrating teamwork.
