About The Position
Toyon is seeking a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analyst to join a team in modeling reentry and hypersonic bodies. This position requires a strong background in fluid dynamics and numerical methods. The CFD Analyst will be responsible for providing high-quality analysis to inform important customer decisions.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with a focus on computational modeling
- 3 or more years of relevant technical experience (thesis work included)
- Fundamental understanding of fluid dynamics and numerical methods for ODEs and PDEs
- Strong proficiency in Python or MATLAB for simulation automation and data analysis
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- U.S. Citizenship is Required.
- Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance required.
- Candidate must be SAP and SCI program eligible.
Responsibilities
- Use commercial and Toyon developed CFD codes to build grids, perform simulations, and analyze results
- Develop and automate analysis workflows using Python to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Compile and present analysis results
- Work in a collaborative environment to improve modeling capabilities
