About The Position

Boeing Phantom Works is seeking an Experienced Computational Electromagnetics Engineer/Scientist to join the Codes & Measurements team. This role focuses on developing software tools to design, analyze, and sustain low observable (LO) platforms by modeling electromagnetic scattering of targets in the RF/IR spectrum. The work encompasses geometry preparation, material modeling, signature analysis, antenna modeling, radome characterization, data reduction, and visualization. The position requires collaboration with a diverse team of domain experts and engineers from multiple disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • Level 3: 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's or 3+ years of work-related experience with a Masters or PhD
  • Ability to obtain a US Top Secret Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Top Secret Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop new methodologies for analyzing platform signature
  • Design scalable algorithms for High Performance Computing (HPC) environments
  • Code of algorithms in a high-level programing language (C,C++,Fortran, etc.)
  • Expand features and capabilities of existing CEM tools
  • Optimize user workflows within the tool suite
  • Develop and execute software verification, validation, and benchmarking test plans
  • Identify and resolve software issues
  • Document software and develop training tools for users
