Perform professional work in support of scientific research using technical knowledge of software, software development, networking, and/or hardware in a complex computing environment. Subject matter expert in multiple areas of computing technology, and specific knowledge of molecular biology and genetics. Works collaboratively with Principal Investigator ("PI") to determine the most suitable computational methods and tools to analyze large-scale biological data sets. Prepare reports for presentation or publication. Responsible for assisting PI in meeting the system needs for multiple research projects and/or labs. The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is a world-class biomedical research institution. Based in the Division of Cardiology, our research group focuses on understanding the development of heart failure using cardiac imaging and translational ‘-omics’ technologies. You would be part of a dynamic, diverse, international team applying the latest methodologies in high-dimensional data analysis and statistical learning to quantitative cardiac imaging, high throughput proteomics, and clinical outcomes. The objective of our work is to uncover novel insights into heart failure pathobiology, and ultimately inform approaches to prevent and treat this common and life-threatening condition.
