Requirements

  • Experience with data analysis and multivariable curve fitting
  • Experience in Python or MATLAB
  • Experience with version control systems and collaborative software development
  • Experience conducting targeted scientific literature reviews and implementing new research methods
  • Experience in uncertainty quantification and error analysis
  • Knowledge of Hamiltonian mechanics
  • Ability to deliver practical science and engineering solutions to customer applications
  • Ability to design, validate, and optimize large‑scale simulations
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in Physics or Electrical Engineering or Master's degree and 3+ years of experience in Physics or Electrical Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience with academic or industry quantum mechanics, atomic physics, or quantum sensing including publications or presentations
  • Experience modeling light atom interactions
  • Experience with Julia, C++, or Fortran
  • Experience in high-performance computing including parallelization, distributed computing, or GPU acceleration
  • Experience developing, tuning, and maintaining simulation codes on multi‑node cluster architectures
  • Experience developing technology roadmaps, managing teams, and overseeing project execution
  • Experience leading small to medium sized engineering, integration, or test projects
  • Ability to collaborate across varied technical backgrounds
  • Possession of strong communication skills to convey complex concepts clearly to varied audiences
