Performs a variety of administrative and managerial duties related to organizing, directing, monitoring, and processing County fiscal transactions; performs related work as required. The primary function of an employee in this class is to perform detailed accounting, reviewing and financial recording and reporting procedures to ensure the County's financial records are accurate and comply with established rules and procedures. Work includes maintaining the general ledger, preparation of the auditor's side of the tax roll, as well as preparation and continued monitoring of the County budget. Work requires considerable attention to a variety of details and the use of selected personal computer software systems. The work is performed under the general supervision of the County Clerk/Auditor/Recorder, but considerable latitude is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. The principal duties of this class are performed in a general office environment.
