About The Position

The Compressor Tender is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the dive center's compressors and diving equipment. This role involves ensuring all safety policies are followed, performing regular maintenance on equipment, filling air and nitrox tanks, and assisting with dive boat preparations. The position also includes customer-facing duties such as managing reservations, issuing equipment, and assisting in the retail shop. The ideal candidate will be a professional role model with good communication skills and proficiency in relevant software.

Requirements

• GCE O level
• Emergency First Responder
• Professional role model
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Ability to operate Air and Nitrox compressors.
• Ability to care for, maintain, and service dive center equipment.
• Ability to deal with fellow employees in a calm and professional manner.
• Proficient in Google Suite Apps/Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, internet browsing, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Resort and PADI safety policies and procedures.
• Perform scheduled daily, monthly, and annual care of the compressor and diving equipment.
• Fill both Air and Nitrox tanks.
• Assist with morning and afternoon dive boat preparations, including loading/unloading tanks and diver equipment.
• Deliver fresh tanks to the jetty for all training dives and boat dives according to the daily schedule.
• Care for and maintain all dive equipment by rinsing it after every dive.
• Care for, maintain, and service the dive center equipment when needed.
• Identify and service any faulty equipment.
• Attend the dive center morning briefing daily.
• Manage dive reception, including guest reservations, diver registrations, and issuing of dive equipment.
• Assist in the sales of the retail shop, snorkeling rentals, and answering the phone according to resort standards.
• Attend guest parties or gatherings organized by diveOceanus.
• Support and participate in Project AWARE projects organized by diveOceanus.
