About The Position

Midwest Compressor Systems is looking for a Compressor Technician - Testing & Commissioning to join our Manufacturing team. This role involves setting up, starting, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and testing gas and electric compressor systems before they leave the facility. The technician will work with pressures, temperatures, flows, vibration, instrumentation, and performance data to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and customer-ready.

Requirements

• Experience with natural gas compressors, engines, rotating equipment, or industrial machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely operate, monitor, and test compressor equipment.
• Basic knowledge of pressure, temperature, instrumentation, and controls.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and test procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to communicate effectively.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Compressor test-loop and instrumentation experience is a plus.
