Compression Analyst Senior

ArchrockCarlsbad, NM

About The Position

Analyze operations, failures, and maintenance activities to reduce equipment breakdowns, downtime, and costly repairs. Recommend operating parameters to identify potential issues (e.g., vibration, performance, safety risks) and implement improvements to enhance equipment performance and workplace safety. Develop and optimize analysis programs for reciprocating and rotary compression systems. Perform diagnostic testing and corrective actions using Windrock technologies, vibration analysis, and other advanced tools. Collect, interpret, and analyze operational and performance data to establish optimal operating conditions and maintenance schedules. Conduct site visits to inspect failed equipment, consult with stakeholders, gather technical data, and perform root cause analysis. Interpret and apply technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and industry standards related to compression systems, vibration/pulsation, emissions, and field operations. Support equipment design, field operations, warranty/start-up activities, and new product evaluation. Develop technical procedures, testing requirements, and HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) improvements to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Create, refine, and maintain sampling techniques, technical libraries, and best practices to support long-term reliability. Apply industrial engineering principles such as process optimization, workflow design, and maintenance planning to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to optimize equipment life cycles, resource allocation, and system reliability. Provide technical training, hands-on guidance, and mentorship to operations staff on both mechanical and industrial engineering concepts. Develop and deliver training materials, workshops, and resources to enhance staff knowledge in engineering fundamentals, data analysis, safety practices, and continuous improvement methods. Collaborate across departments to integrate engineering solutions with broader operational and process optimization strategies.
