About The Position

Stantec is seeking a remote Comprehensive Planning and Community Engagement Intern to support communities across northeast Kansas. For communities across Northeast Kanas, our work recognizes the area’s distinctive landscapes, small towns, rural character, economic opportunities, infrastructure needs, and deep community connections. The intern will collaborate remotely with planners, designers, technical specialists, clients, and community partners while gaining hands-on experience in comprehensive planning and public engagement. At Stantec, we design with community in mind, bringing together expertise in planning, engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, environmental sciences, and related disciplines to help communities build a stronger and more resilient future.

  • Assist with community outreach activities, including stakeholder interviews, focus groups, surveys, public meetings, workshops, open houses, and online engagement designed to reach a broad range of community voices.
