About The Position

As a Full-Time Comprehensive Foster Care Social Worker at Bridges Homeward, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of children and families. Requirements

MSW or related degree preferred or Bachelors plus experience in child welfare
Professional social work licensure required within 6 months of hire
Valid drivers license and properly insured car (used at times to transport clients)
Strong problem-solving abilities

Effective communication skills

Responsibilities

Completing weekly home visits with children in foster homes.
Ensuring the safety of children in foster care.
Monitoring the progress of children in foster care.
Providing essential support for foster care placements.
Utilizing permanency interventions to help foster youth and families work closely with DCF to secure lifelong connections with committed adults.
Managing a caseload of eight foster children.
Participating in after-hours emergency coverage on a rotating basis.
