About The Position

IU Health is seeking a quality-minded Compounding Pharmacy Technician with attention to detail and an interest in learning compounding. The hands-on role is part of Centralized Compounding, a closed-door pharmacy department serving IU Health facilities in inpatient and outpatient settings. The technician learns and performs basic pharmacy technician skills in assigned areas under close supervision or clearly defined procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Indiana Pharmacy Tech-In Training status, an Indiana Pharmacy Technician License, or an intern/extern license when enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician National Certification within one year of hire, unless enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy or enrolled in or graduated from an ASHP/ACPE-accredited Pharmacy Technician training program.
• No criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
• Strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Ability to learn basic pharmacy technician skills and work under close supervision or clearly defined procedures.
• Ability to learn effective written and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and execute customer service skills.
• Basic proficiency in typing and Microsoft Office applications.
