About The Position

This 3rd Shift position will start at $22.80 + $2.00 shift premium pay with Increases at 90 days, 6 months and 1 year. The role involves safely and efficiently performing cold mixing and milling utilizing multiple mechanical equipment to mix and mill high consistency silicone rubber to desired customer specifications. Essential Job Functions include ensuring all safety equipment is readily available and guards are in place, referring to batch cards for proper amounts, temperature controls, weights and sequences of additions of raw materials and any other additional instructions, per procedure. The operator will operate multiple types of mixers, mills and extruders and other related equipment when required. As directed, carry out any other tasks of equal or less difficulty. Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner, drive Lean 5S Initiative throughout the facility with emphasis during shift transition. Ability to work independently and multi-task. Must be able to work irregular shifts and overtime to cover production demand as required. Must be qualified to wear a respirator. Non-Essential Functions include keeping online production records on every batch mixed, receiving and relaying vital verbal communications with co-workers concerning daily production strategies, and becoming knowledgeable of basic customer requirements and the equipment and materials used in mixing and milling.

Requirements

  • Perform arithmetic operations quickly, accurately, and possess eye-hand motor coordination.
  • Basic writing skills are required in the completion of daily production records.
  • Basic verbal communication skills are required to transfer or interpret the explanation of problems and to receive and understand work assignments.
  • Must be able to read and understand written instructions.
  • Must be able to stand for a 8.5-hour shift.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and speak English
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background and pre-employment drug test that includes marijuana.
  • Must be qualified to wear a respirator.
