About The Position

The Compounder I role will perform all necessary tasks in the pre-weigh of raw materials, the manufacturing and processing of bulk, and the cleaning & sanitization of compounding equipment. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of GMP and OSHA safety regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Good math skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use computers.
  • Ability to reach, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use all protective and safety equipment.
  • Ability to follow through on assignments and complete in a timely and competent manner.
  • Positive leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-weighing all chemicals required in batches.
  • Completing batches in a safe, timely manner with passing quality specifications.
  • Weighing, mixing, and heating materials in accordance with procedures and instructions per the given formula.
  • Producing bulk with use of a multiple phase batch making process.
  • Recording all production data on batch records inclusive of raw materials used, quantities and time intervals.
  • Demonstrating ability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Understanding process flow charts and ability to recognize discrepancies and conflicts.
  • Visually inspecting, detecting, and correcting any problems with the product.
  • Efficiently managing change throughout the workday.
  • Identifying any equipment issues and reporting to management.
  • Properly transferring material to the proper kettle/mixer.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment before or after manufacturing.
  • Properly operating all the equipment in all work centers.
  • Performing tasks carefully, accurately, and efficiently in accordance with specific instructions and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
