We are looking for a Compounder who will support flavor chemists by preparing compounds, conducting tests, maintaining lab operations, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Requirements

  • Must display good written and oral communications skills, as well as basic math skills
  • Ability to follow detailed product preparation instructions and prepare samples quickly and accurately
  • Well organized, able to handle multiple tasks daily, and operate in a safe and responsible manner in the lab
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work well with others and a positive can-do attitude
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs and stand frequently
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office programs and able to learn new systems quickly

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent lab experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Compound diverse flavors from chemist formulations with precision
  • Prepare blends for spray drying and related processes
  • Conduct physical, chemical, and sensory testing; document results and feedback
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and professional lab environment
  • Manage equipment and inventory; coordinate orders and repairs
  • Handle data entry, sample documentation, shipping, and communication
  • Perform calculations and operate basic benchtop laboratory equipment, as well as understanding and interpreting analytical test equipment such as densitometer, refractometer, pH meter
