About The Position

This is an entry-level Blend Plant Operator position on the first shift, working Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3 pm. The role involves making production inks, quality control of inks, staging inks for orders, moving drums, adjusting inks, managing obsolete and overstock ink inventory, and handling chemicals. Responsibilities also include regular maintenance on ink kitchen and QC equipment, cleaning and maintaining proofers and pumps, general housekeeping, and operating a power floor cleaner. The position requires active participation in the Safety Observation process and may involve additional ink department projects. Leading by example with safe work practices is essential.

Requirements

• Good math skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively
• Desire to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Must obtain forklift certification within 90 days from start date

Responsibilities

• Make production inks
• QC all inks going to press
• Stage inks for upcoming orders
• Moving drums
• Adjust inks before running on press
• Work off obsolete and overstock ink inventory
• Chemical handling
• Do maintenance on ink kitchen and QC equipment on a regular basis
• Clean/maintain hand & auto proofer
• Clean/maintain pumps & ink kitchen
• General housekeeping
• Power floor cleaner
• Available for additional ink department projects
• Lead by example and demonstrate a mindset of safe work practices
• Active participation in the Safety Observation process
• All other duties assigned
