About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compositing Artist to join our 2D team. As a Compositing Artist, you will be responsible for assembling shots, integrating various visual elements, and ensuring a seamless, high-quality look that supports the artistic vision of each project.

Requirements

• 5+ years of compositing experience
• Working knowledge of live-action feature film and television VFX production pipelines
• Expert knowledge of Nuke
• Excellent artistic skills with a strong sense of color, lighting, perspective, scale, and composition
• Attention to detail and a desire to deliver consistently high-quality work
• Collaborative by nature with the ability to work within a team-based environment
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada as specified and, where applicable, must have a valid work permit that allows the candidate to fulfill the requirements of the role.

Nice To Haves

• Strong knowledge of color pipelines, scripting experience, and awareness of emerging technologies all considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality digital composites and visual effects, seamlessly integrating the various elements of a shot.
• Complete compositing tasks based on the direction from VFX and Compositing Supervisors.
• Collaborate with Supervisors and other compositors to ensure shots are delivered on schedule, to the highest standard of quality.
• Understand and follow production guidelines.
• Review and implement feedback quickly and effectively.
• Perform keying, compositing of CG and plate elements, work with Nuke 3D system and projections, and do shot lookdev.
• Solve creative and technical problems under tight deadlines.
